After fears of a life-threatening matter due to injuries, the latest updates from the hospital are generally positive news. According to an official IPL statement along with comments from DC staff:

• The current medical condition for Lungi Ngidi: He is currently stable and remained alert (conscious) during assessment.

• The first reported symptoms were blur vision and headache after falling.

• Based on a CT scan completed the injury was ruled out, as a spinal injury was the doctor’s biggest medical concern while he was on the field.

• Lungi Ngidi’s anticipated discharge is pending any further observation regarding possible concussion symptoms.

After the match, DC official Venugopal Rao responded to fan concerns by stating, “It is not severe; he is under medical care; and we received good news.”
